Anastasia G. Filippeou Architecture & Design was established in Athens in 2014 by founder and principal architect Anastasia Filippeou upon her return from New York. The practice operates as an architectural firm specializing in the bespoke design of diverse building typologies and high quality renovation projects.
Her work blends the creative use of different materials, simple geometries, light and outstanding craftsmanship. She specifically pays attention to detail and design excellence. She has worked on many challenging projects which required her personal supervision from beginning to end. From the initial inception to project completion, to the smallest detail in the construction phase, Filippeou tends to be a perfectionist working with select artisans of various specializations. Her aim is always to articulate her clients’ needs and vision with professionalism and inspiration.
She has lived in Belgium, Greece, England, Spain and the United States and has so far undertaken projects in New York, London, Athens and the Greek islands. She has also worked on object and furniture design projects experimenting with various forms, composition and materials.
A graduate from Pratt Institute Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design in New York (having obtained three consecutive merit-based scholarships), Universitat Polytechnica de Catalunya in Barcelona and the University of Bath School of Architecture in the United Kingdom, Filippeou is an award winning, Athens based practicing architect, registered in the Technical Chamber of Greece and exempt from Part 1 Royal Institute of British Architects.
